355 Jazz Masters

Toe-Tapping Funky Soul Jazz

355 Jazz Masters celebrates all the jazz that makes you move. The repertoire highlights tunes by Horace Silver, Donald Byrd, Hank Mobley, Bobby Timmons, Cedar Walton, and Ray Bryant, along with Charlie Mingus, Thelonius Monk, Miles, and other classic bop and cool composers.

Rich Durbin, featured multi-instrumentalist wind soloist, plays tenor and alto saxes, in addition to flute and the EWI. One of the best EWI players in the region, his EWI playing often reminds listeners of Bob Mintzer of the Yellowjackets. The EWI, a wind instrument synthesizer, produces dozens of different sounds, all subject to the expressiveness of a sax player's control of tone and volume.

Other band members include Colton Hammond on keys, Craig Falk on upright bass, and Steve Silverman on drums.
